Day 2

After spending the morning finishing up critiquing photos of yesterdays photographs, and discussing what goes into iconic photographs, we took a field trip to check out the work of Rose Marasco- a non prolific photographer who has lived and photographed Maine for over 35 years! After splitting into two groups our class parted ways in order to go a engaging guided tour to learn more about Marasco’s work.

The Afternoon was all about portraits! After a short presentation that illustrated some tips and tricks of the trade, the students went out and shot for about an hour and a half. We could not BELIEVE the truly stunning portraits that were made today! After just one day we are seeing some major risk taking and improvement!! Great job, everyone! Each and every one stepped outside their comfort zone- what a success!

Below you will find some of the photographs that were made today.
